Problem

What Projectrak data can access anonymous users when the Jira instance is open to public access?

Solution

When the Jira instance is open to public access, anonymous users can access to the Project Data screen of company-managed projects if an admin has granted the following permissions in the project permission scheme:

  • Browse Projects

  • Projectrak: View project values

  • Projectrak: Edit project values -> this will allow anonymous users to edit values in the project

 

Every field project value is protected by the project permission scheme, but please be aware that all fields and layouts data are considered public when the Jira instance is open to public access. For that, anonymous users are expected to see field configurations such as names, descriptions or types and layout configurations such as names or field distribution.

 

Currently, anonymous access is not supported for a team-managed project.
