This functionality allows Budget owners to limit or grant access to budget information for specific users or Jira groups, ensuring controlled visibility and compliance.

Who is the Budget owner? It is the user that have created the budget, and the only one that can manage the access to the budget and delete it.

When no restrictions are applied, all Jira users can see and edit the Budget information

How to manage the Budge access?

  1. Navigate to the Budget page, where you can view the budget summary, details, and costs history.

  2. Click the access button.

3. The Access to Budget pop up provides options to manage access levels.

  • No Restrictions: Default setting where all Jira users can see and edit all budget details.

  • Selected Jira groups or users: Restrict access to specific Jira groups or individuals.

To restrict access:

  1. Select the "Only specific users" option.

  2. Use the dropdown menu to search and select the users or Jira groups you want to grant access to.

4. Click Apply to enforce the restrictions.

Once restrictions are applied:

  • Only authorized users or groups can view the budget details, and the access button will change this apparence.

  • Unauthorized users attempting to access the budget page will see a notification indicating restricted access.
