With Excel format export, you can get extract flexible data for analysis, customized reportsreporting, data sharing, and record-keeping outside the platform. Here's what exported data looks like and how to format it before exporting.

Rows look like this:

By default, every row is an issue, and if you export transitions or comments the rows will not be merged, so there will be no merged cells hat hinder sorting and filtering of data.

Columns are fields, comments data, transition data, or approval data. The columns are in colors that goes like this:

  1. Purple: Issue columns

  2. Orange: Comments

  3. Green: Transitions

  1. Issue fields green color header (e.g., Key, Summary, Story points).

  2. Comments, purple header, with details like author, visibility, and timestamp.

Comments

Comments in the export include:

  • Author and timestamp.

  • Visibility settings (e.g., public or restricted).

  • The actual comment content.

Date fields

  • Format: Its format is the one the Jira instance has set on in Look and field “Complete Date/Time Format”:

Transitions area - duration fields

"Time in final status" and "Time in initial status":

  • Format: the one the Jira instance has set on Time tracking “Time tracking format”:

  • No tenemos en cuenta los working days para esa duración, sino el tiempo natural pasado. Ejemplo: 3dias, en ese caso es que pasaron 72h reales desde el inicio al fin, mientras que en horas laborables hubieran sido 24h.

    se coge el formato de jira, pero no tiene en cuenta el timetracking, es decir son 24 horas al día y 7 días a la semana. They are calculated in real hours, not working hours. For example:

    • 3 days = 72 real hours, even if there are only 24 working hours.
