Budgety integration
The Budget field connects Projectrak with Budgety, a budget management app for Jira. Once you add it to your spaces, you can see the budgets linked to each space - including their target, total cost, and remaining balance - without leaving Projectrak.
To use this field, you need to have Budgety installed in your Jira instance. If you don't have it yet, clicking on the Budget field type will show you how to get it from the Atlassian Marketplace.
Setting up the Budget field
Go to the field manager and select Budget as the field type. You'll need to fill in the name, a description, and who can view it. Once created, you can add it to any project layout in your Project Data or Project Navigator.
Only one Budget field can be created per instance.
Viewing budget data in your projects
Once the field is set up, each space will show the budgets linked to it in Budgety. For every budget you'll see its name - which links directly to the budget page - along with the target, total cost, and remaining balance.
The remaining balance is colour-coded so you can spot the status at a glance:
Green when you're under budget
Red when you've gone over
Grey when it's exactly on target.
Keep in mind that only budgets linked at space level are shown. Budgets linked to individual work items won't appear here.
In the Project Navigator, the field shows up to 3 linked budgets. If there are more, a link to Budgety will appear so you can see the full list.
Things to keep in mind
The Budget field is read-only - any changes to budgets need to be made directly in Budgety. Budget data respects Budgety permissions, so users who don't have access to a budget there won't see it in Projectrak either.
If Budgety is uninstalled, the field will remain visible in your layouts but won't display any data.
