Timeline view will allow you to show the duration and current status of your projects in a big picture. Timeline view is the third view of Projectrak. Access to the project navigator and then go to Timeline tab:
Chose the timeline unit
You can change the unit in which you want the timeline to be displayed:
Move in time
Move to the future and the past using the arrows in the upper right-hand corner, and return to the current time by clicking on Today.
Understanding the Timeline view

At left you have projects located, and you can order them by its name. | |
For each project, you can see a bar in the timeline depending on:
It is not possible to configure the dates you are showing. If you are using other dates, please, use Start date and End date predefined fields. | |
If your project just have one date filled, you will see a gradient at the beginning to the end | |
The bar colour will depend on the Status field, by default (if you don't have modified it) next colours: | |
If the project has no value in the status field, you will see a white bar. | |
If the dates are before or after the period being viewed, by hovering the mouse over the project, arrows will appear that will take you to the exact point in time when the date is. If the date is in the past, the arrow will appear on the left. If the date is in the future, the arrow will appear on the right. | |
When you have chosen week as unit, you could have two kind of vertical lines:

Mouse and trackpad behaviours:
Move timeline to the future or past
- Click and drag to move the timeline
- With trackpad, use two fingers left and right
- With mouse and keyboard: Shift + mouse wheel
Zoom (See more time or less time at the future and at the past at the same time)
- Option + mouse wheel
- Option + trackpad with two fingers up and down
Create new bar
- Double-click on an empty line → COMING SOON
Change dates
- Drag the bar at the beginning or at the end → COMING SOON
